Peter Boyd

Chief Executive Officer

Peter was appointed CEO of Alesco on 3 May 2010. Prior to this he was Group General Manager of the Garage Doors & Openers Division for three years. Before joining the Alesco Group Peter spent ten years with Boral Limited and most recently was the Executive General Manager of Boral Timber, a division of Boral Limited with sales revenue of $240 million and 840 staff in 21 operations. Before joining Boral, Peter was a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group and prior to that worked in a variety of operational roles including Plant Management positions with CSR Building Products. Peter has an engineering degree and completed an MBA at Melbourne University in 1993.

Stephen Cox

Group General Manager, Construction and Mining

Stephen was appointed to the role of General Manager of Parchem, part of Alesco’s Construction and Mining division, in April 2002. He was appointed to his current role in January 2004. Stephen is responsible for the Parchem, Marathon Tyres and Flextool businesses. He was previously employed by the Swedish based ITT Flygt as their Australian Marketing Manager. He has over 20 years experience in sales and marketing and general management positions mainly with engineering and industrial distribution organisations.

Rob joined the Alesco Group in February 2010 as Group General Manager Functional & Decorative Products. Prior to joining Alesco Rob spent eight years with Tyco International, as President, Tyco Safety Products, Canada.

 

Richard Lewis

Group General Manager Operations

Richard joined Alesco's Garage Door & Openers division in 2007 as General Manager Operations Australia & New Zealand. He was appointed to his current role, Group General Manager Operations in June 2010. Prior to joining Alesco, Richard had a variety of important roles across multiple continents, including the head of supply chain for Avon Asia Pacific.

 

Rebelle Moriarty

Group General Manager Human Resources

Rebelle was appointed Group General Manager Human Resources in April 2010. Prior to joining Alesco, Rebelle was employed by BlueScope Steel for 7 years, most recently in the position of Vice President Human Resources for BlueScope's Asian businesses, spanning South East Asia, China and India. Prior to that role, Rebelle headed BlueScope's Corporate Organisational Effectiveness function. Rebelle has a background in industrial relations and human resources roles in the mining, manufacturing and logistics sectors with the BHP group of companies (now BHP Billiton).

Brian O'Connor

Chief Information Officer

Brian commenced with Alesco in January 2004 as Group Chief Information Officer of Alesco. Brian was formerly the CIO of Howard Smith Limited where he had responsibility for IT strategy and infrastructure at both BBC Hardware and J Blackwood and Sons.

Wayne Powell

Group General Manager, Water Products & Services

Wayne was appointed Group General Manager, Water Products & Services Division on 1 July 2008. Prior to this, Wayne was Group General Manager of Alesco's Scientific & Medical Division. Wayne has a technical marketing background in the pharmacy and HealthCare sectors and joined Alesco in 2002 coming from Fisher & Paykel HealthCare


Luci Rafferty

Group General Manager, Legal and Corporate Affairs

Luci has over 13 years legal experience primarily in the corporate and commercial areas. She is responsible for overseeing the legal and corporate affairs of the Alesco Group, including compliance, insurance, communications and special projects. Prior to Alesco, Luci was general counsel and company secretary at Namoi Cotton Co-operative Ltd, a co-operative listed on the ASX. Prior to that, she worked at law firms Andersen Legal and Gadens Ridgeway in Sydney, specialising in merger and acquisitions, and general corporate.


Neil Thompson

Finance Director

Neil was appointed Finance Director on 31 January 2007 after joining Alesco as Chief Financial Officer in January 2006. Prior to joining Alesco, Neil was a director and Chief financial Officer of the Amatek Group, a building products company backed by the private equity firm CVC Capital Partners. During his time with the Amatek Group, Neil was involved in the management of a diverse portfolio of industrial businesses, including the Laminex Group, Stramit and Rocla Pipeline Products. Neil has spent the past 25 years working in various financial and strategic roles for public companies including TNT Limited and Fosters Group Limited.
